July 4th was a blast. We had good time, good music, and GREAT fishing! Shout out to those who have been helping me out this year to stay in the game. You know who you are! We had some of the best fishing I've seen since the freeze finally. Plenty of eating size trout to fill our limits and several bonus slot trout that we had to throw back. Most of the throw back fish were full of eggs which was wonderful too see. Things are looking up for the foreseeable future. Liz even got her a baby flounder. Mr. Jimmy is one of my most frequent fliers. He comes and fishes with me about twice a month and I thoroughly enjoy our trips together. Recently I have started letting Jimmy fish with some of my close circle so they can enjoy his company as well. He is a heck of a guy and is like fishing with the coolest grandpa anybody could ever ask for. He is 70+ and navigates a day of fishing better than most young bucks today! Me, Pops and Jimmy had a great day fishing with some decent sized trout and the evening before we got on a quick limit with Elizabeth for an added bonus! We are transitioning to the dog days of summer and the fishing is still good but hard to beat the heat!

Pamlico River Inshore Report on 2nd Feb, 2024

We went out and had ourselves a day. With a nice warm day in January we started out with air Temps in the 60s and water Temps rising to match, we just knew there would be some chances at a nice class of fish! Spencer had the hot hand to start the day off and once we dropped him off after lunch me and Thomas were finally able to get a shot. Ended strong with a 29 and 24! We released all the big girls and several 20"+ to go along with. There's going to be some phenomenal fishing to come in ot next 2 months! Don't miss out get on the books today!

Me and the boys went out this morning anticipating some wind but not as much as we bargained for! When the plans for trout fishing just didn't work out we decided to beat the banks looking something too catch. It seems the flounder population is coming along well thanks to the regulations helping protect our fisheries! Fishing is good but it's getting HOT!
