Cooler Days, Hot Action: Summer Fishing with Friends

Mr. Jimmy is one of my most frequent fliers. He comes and fishes with me about twice a month and I thoroughly enjoy our trips together. Recently I have started letting Jimmy fish with some of my close circle so they can enjoy his company as well. 
He is a heck of a guy and is like fishing with the coolest grandpa anybody could ever ask for. He is 70+ and navigates a day of fishing better than most young bucks today!
Me, Pops and Jimmy had a great day fishing with some decent sized trout and the evening before we got on a quick limit with Elizabeth for an added bonus!
We are transitioning to the dog days of summer and the fishing is still good but hard to beat the heat!

Late Winter Action and Spring Promise on the Pamlico Sound

We went out and had ourselves a day. With a nice warm day in January we started out with air Temps in the 60s and water Temps rising to match, we just knew there would be some chances at a nice class of fish! Spencer had the hot hand to start the day off and once we dropped him off after lunch me and Thomas were finally able to get a shot. Ended strong with a 29 and 24! We released all the big girls and several 20"+ to go along with. There's going to be some phenomenal fishing to come in ot&nbsp; next 2 months!
